This page will contain snippets of tractor history in no particular sequence. It will just be random events that have occurred in the past. The common thread will be that all of the short excerpts involve vintage tractors. Be sure to check back about once a month for the newest feature.

1937 The 1937 Allis Chalmer was designed and marketed to the more than 4 million small farmers with 100 acres or less of tillable land.
1939The 1939 Ford 9N was the first in the "N" series tractors. It was designed as a versatile, all-purpose tractor and quickly became very popular with farmers.
1939The Farmall A was introduced in 1939 and built until 1947. The Farmall A's "cultivision" layout proved to be extremely popular, resulting in the sales of 117,552 tractors.
1948Oliver introduced the Fleetline series of tractors in 1948. One of the top selling models was the 88 Diesel. It was the first diesel that could be started directly.
1949 John Deere introduced its first diesel tractor in 1949. It was the most efficient tractor of its day able to plow 40 acres in 12 hours using only 25 gallons of fuel.
